Sik Silk’s previous collections
have been extremely successful, the proof is everywhere! From celebrities to blogs to street style, the streetwear brand always receives
a well-deserved feature.
Unique Style from Sik Silk for Spring Summer 2015
Therefore, for the SS15 collection, many of the brands increasingly iconic
shapes and popular pieces have been carried forward to this year’s Spring/Summer line and I most definitely for one am not complaining!
The curved hems of theirkey t-shirts have continued into the designs of this summer’s garments, as well as the streetwear style Sik Silk
has moulded themselves on. Although one particular tee caught my eye as something a little different from their usual style, the Check Mate Elongated Zip Tee
. This item still has the longline fit that many of their tee’s have, however it appears to have swapped the curved hem for a straight hem and zips on either side, plus the ‘check mate’ print in black creates a simple yet extremely effective a fresh touch of variation to the collection.
This Summer's Newest Urbanwear From SikSilk
My personal favourites are the Rose Full Racer Curved tee in black
and in white
. This is an updated and new look to the very popular and similar t-shirt where the graphic roses appear across the chest and shoulders. From the front they look like a simple, basic t-shirt
that you may find in most menswear high street stores
, apart from the subtle Sik Silk logo on the left side of the chest. However, from the back, the rose print adds a touch of the brands personal style
. This tee is so easy to style and I can see it being just a popular as the previous style.
Another new item for the SS15 collection is the Retro Football Shirt in White
. A white t-shirt which is perfect in every way, basic enough to wear with everything and anything, yet the ‘retro football’ style
makes it so much more than a simple basic! During the summer wear it under a plaid check shirt with the buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up, a pair of light blue shorts and white trainers. When it gets too hot, take the plaid shirt off and tie it round your waist. Your outfit will still look totally complete and so very on-trend.
